Unforgettable Catering Moments at the Long Beach Grand Prix

This setup was for a networking event for Streamline Racing at the Long Beach Grand Prix. The catering included hamachi crudo, cheeseburger sliders, fig & goat cheese, beef empanadas, potato empanadas, bruschetta toast, steak tacos, chicken tacos, fatoush salad, shirazi salad, hot chicken sliders, cucumber lime mojitos, and pina colada.

At A La Mode Catering, we believe that food is more than just sustenance—it’s a statement, an experience, and a lasting memory.

That philosophy was on full display during one of our most exciting recent events: a networking reception for Streamline Racing, held at the elegant Even Tide space within the Shoreline Gateway Apartments in Long Beach. The occasion? None other than the world-famous Long Beach Grand Prix.

Set against the buzz of race cars and the energy of one of the most iconic motorsport events in the country, the Streamline Racing team gathered to entertain clients, partners, and industry professionals.

The vibe was stylish yet relaxed, blending professional networking with the kind of culinary experience that sparks conversation, and we were honored to set the table.

The Venue: Even Tide at Shoreline Gateway

Even Tide is a beautiful rooftop-level event space perched within the Shoreline Gateway Apartments, offering sweeping views of Long Beach, modern finishes, and a vibe that pairs perfectly with a chic, high-energy gathering.

With the roar of engines in the distance and the sun dipping below the horizon, guests were treated to an unforgettable setting for making connections—and enjoying unforgettable food.

The Event: A Culinary Cruise Through Flavor

When Streamline Racing reached out to us for this Grand Prix-week celebration, we knew the menu had to strike a delicate balance: sophisticated but accessible, bold but approachable, and capable of satisfying a crowd with diverse tastes. We curated a spread designed to impress, delight, and fuel the networking spirit of the evening.

Here’s a closer look at the menu we proudly served:

Hamachi Crudo

A refreshing, light start to the evening, our hamachi crudo featured sashimi-grade yellowtail, delicately dressed in citrus and herb oil, with a subtle hint of spice to wake up the palate. Elegant and bright, it set the tone for a menu full of bold yet balanced flavors.

Cheeseburger Sliders

Who says comfort food can’t be classy? Our cheeseburger sliders were a crowd favorite—juicy, perfectly seasoned patties topped with melted cheese and house-made aioli, all tucked into soft, toasted mini brioche buns. A gourmet twist on an American classic.

Fig & Goat Cheese Crostini

Sweet meets savory in these bite-sized delights. Creamy goat cheese paired with rich fig preserves and a touch of balsamic glaze, served on crisp toasted baguette slices. A bite that’s both refined and indulgent.

Beef & Potato Empanadas

Paying homage to Latin flavors, we offered two varieties of hand-crafted empanadas—one filled with seasoned beef, the other with tender spiced potatoes. Each was encased in a flaky golden crust and served with a vibrant chimichurri sauce.

Bruschetta Toast

Our take on the Italian favorite featured fresh Roma tomatoes, garlic, basil, and extra virgin olive oil, served atop grilled sourdough with just the right crunch. Light, fresh, and utterly satisfying.

Steak & Chicken Tacos

No Southern California gathering is complete without tacos. We brought out the big flavors with marinated steak and citrus-grilled chicken, both served in warm corn tortillas and topped with fresh salsa, cabbage slaw, and a drizzle of crema. An easy favorite for our guests on the go.

Hot Chicken Sliders

Spicy, crispy, and wildly popular—our Nashville-inspired hot chicken sliders brought the heat. Served with pickles and slaw on soft buns, they added a fun kick to the menu and became an instant talking point at the event.

Fattoush & Shirazi Salads

To round out the meal with something fresh and vibrant, we offered two Mediterranean-inspired salads. Our fattoush was crisp and zesty, featuring toasted pita chips and a sumac-forward vinaigrette, while the Shirazi salad offered a refreshing mix of cucumber, tomato, and herbs with a splash of citrus.

The Drinks: Bright, Tropical, and Refreshing

No networking event is complete without a well-crafted cocktail – or two. To complement the bold flavors on the menu, we served two signature mocktail drinks that helped guests cool down and unwind after a day at the races:

  • Cucumber Lime Mojitos – Crisp, hydrating, and with a perfect balance of lime, mint, and cooling cucumber, this drink was a refreshing favorite.

  • Piña Coladas – A tropical classic, our piña coladas featured smooth coconut cream and fresh pineapple juice, blended to perfection for a touch of island paradise in Long Beach.

A Night to Remember

From the first bite to the last sip, the Streamline Racing networking event was a true showcase of how thoughtful food can elevate any gathering. The guests laughed, mingled, and shared their love for racing—all while enjoying a curated menu that celebrated both global flavors and local favorites.

For our team at A La Mode Catering, events like these are what we live for. We love partnering with organizations who value the power of hospitality, and it was an absolute pleasure to be part of an evening that blended speed, style, and sophistication.
